Meet Clair

While majoring in Arts Administration at NC State University in Raleigh, the highlight of her study was courses in Florence, Italy and Tuscany.  She studied Tuscan food and culture while living in a castle in the Tuscan region. She also embraced learning about the wines, vineyards and food in that remarkable region. Throughout her time in college, Clair was called on to help friends design their wedding, their apartments and homes.

Graduate work at The Corcoran College of Art and Design took Clair back to Washington, where she focused on interior architectural design.  One particular project that Clair undertook, with enthusiasm, involved redesigning a number of restaurants and bars in the metropolitan area. She worked with lighting, interior textures, and physical settings to create perfect environments for food and music in a variety of places.  The ability to successfully improve these spaces, linked directly to the use of materials and interior design concepts that involve skills needed in the event management arena.

Experience in real estate marketing, particularly in staging homes, drew on Clair’s ability to create looks that sell.  Work as an interior designer in Atlanta provided her an introduction to the city of Atlanta, it’s style, romance, and culture. The natural transition to event planning took place when Clair landed a job managing corporate events and a showroom in the furniture industry.  For two years, she designed a mix of events catering to specific client needs – some as varied as a Mind, Body & Soul Event Series that took place over many months, to even a joint evening event with Pandora Radio titled “Live at the Atlanta Showroom.”

The style and creativity that marked the many events she organized from corporate meetings, week long client experience trips across the South East, private client dinners, all the way to golf events (one titled “Bourbon on the Green”), earned Clair distinction for her attention to detail and perfection in outcomes.  A reputation for strength in planning, personal communication, and setting high goals drew Clair instinctively to the wonderful opportunity at Event Sociétal. As a planner assisting in the Atlanta market, she aims to continue offering clients exceptional planning experiences, from start to finish, with great care concerning details and overall visual elements that have the power to make events absolutely wonderful!

On weekends you might find Clair exploring the endless byways of Atlanta and all that the big city life has to offer.  She feels there is always something new to discover…..running trails, live music, restaurants, community service partnerships, art galleries and lots of festivals. The Atlanta community is so rich in history, passion, life and color – she enjoys absorbing all that this city has to offer and showing that through her work!
